Title: Tortech transformers

Anyone used them before? If so, how did you find them?

Looking at a few conventional and toroidal traffos to power various component builds in the works.

Or any other recommendations?  ;D

I brought one a few years back 240V-220V step down for a R2R Player.
Nice quality at an affordable price

Hi V,

Indeeed, last weekend was busy but hopefully this weekend should be a go'er!   These are traffos for the pioneer d-23 right?

I am actually after a 200-300VA  240v primary -> 12-0-12 secondary for my dddac. Would you happen to have anything? :D

Transformers to try are for D23.
Yes have several transformers espically made for me several years ago by a specialist, but from memory they are dual 15 volt secondaries, any good for your purpose?  I have several and one with your name on it free BNIB so to speak. ;D ;D ;D

I'm trying to make a ps that outputs 11-12V DC @ 5A.  

I have this thing coming.. will it do the job with a 15-0-15 trans?

1. Delivery current up to 5A for each channel, variable output voltage from 1.5-30VDC depending of the power transformers.
2. Connect modules in series or parallel to provide either higher output voltage range or higher output current.
3. Use of low dropout regulator LM1084 with line regulation of 0.015% typica, load regulation of 0.1% typical.Ripple rejection of 75dB and RMS output noise 0.003%.
4. Thickness 2.4mm PCB and 2oz copper

5 Amps from that size regulator....... :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o.......holly sh!t it will burn you if you touch it, maybe 1 to 2 amps max but 5........... :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\.............it would need a heat sink at least 4 times the size to remain reasonable and last more than a couple of weeks, Is the current draw continous or maximum? As these units can be paralled up use at least 2 of them for that sort of current draw to avoid tears and early failure. Please underate any so called regs by a factor of at least 2 as the marketing boys would have a hand here and just because your speedo on your car says 300km/h does not mean you can drive it at that speed all day long!  :-X :-X :-X

So is it Saturday or Sunday???
