It was a nice relaxed afternoon/evening.   There was plenty of nice social chat.

There were a few times when the loungeroom was empty, and everyone was off in the other room, drinking, nibbling and chatting. Not sure what that says about the stereo. haha ;)

So,  we had;

Stevenvalve
Paul (who made the dac board in my killer)
Dragon (Stevens mate)
Zenelectro (Terry)
Greg Erskine (here/sna)
Chefscuba (from sna/dtv)
LuzArt (from sna)
Tax (from sna)
Tubeman (from dtv, known as vic on sna)
Hedalfa (from sna)
springcreek (from here)

Did I forget anyone?

It was great to meet some new faces, and to catch up with others.   We topped off the night, by migrating over to Dragons place, where we had the priviledge of hearing his Altec horn system fed by SV killer tube amps and killerdac (the dac is known as Godzilla :) ).   A great killer system, which delivers a wide open presentation - Cantate Domino was particularly impressive with the horns, where you just felt like you were there in the cathedral.

I think my system was left behind abit,  when compared to Stevens and Dragons.   But I think it did ok, given it isnt a ground up build.

It's all about the music,, not the equipment.

Andrew,

Thanks for your hospitality and a great arvo/evening.

Last time I heard your system was BK (before killerdac), I'm guessing over a year ago.
Huge improvement and quite impressive now - especially since you don't get the option to
do any tweaking to the SS active speakers.

Good to catch up with a few people I haven't seen for a while.

cheers

Terry

Cheers,  I've made some significant gains with the integration of the subs since you were here last. Good bass is an important foundation.    But all credit to Steven, and his knowledge of what to change in the DAC in order to achieve a natural and balanced presentation.
