Title: Need a trafo
Post by: ozcal on April 17, 2011, 04:52:49 PM
Hi guy's ,I am on the hunt for a trafo to replace the 220v unit in my Yaqin phono stage.
So! , I need a 240v primary with 200v and 16v secondaries. Not really sure how many watts so maybe you guys can guide me here.
Gordon
PS : Looks like max powerconsumption is around 36w just after turn-on so I guess a 50VA trafo would be fine ?

Hey G,

I think I have the man for you.  I'll cut and paste the email so you get an example quote I got from Scott late last year.  They make custom transformers based on your requested values.  They are in Australia.

Contact details:
Scott Ogilvie [scottogilvie@yless4u.com.au]

Dear Tuyen,

A price for the transformer would be $80 including registered post to you. This is for a tranny with a 240 volt primary and two 2.5v @ 2.5amp secondary windings (the 45 valve draws 1.5amps and the 2A3 draws 2.5 amp so as we are not 100% sure how your unit is set up we allowed for both sec. windings to draw 2.5amp, the price would remain the same even if we did 1 x 1.5 amp and 1 x 2.5 amp)

Hope this helps,

to order just let us know what you want and your address and I'll send you the payment address
