Title: A new beginning for the site
Post by: stevenvalve on June 27, 2017, 07:12:06 PM
Well audio heads. The site is up and running, thanks to Richard (RAB).  So it's time to call a Spade a Spade and debunk the audio bullsh!t swilling around in audio folklore. No more mister nice Guy.

Welcome back everyone.

In addition to repairing the site and moving it to a new hosting platform, I have upgraded the forum software to the latest stable version.

I believe that this will effectively have removed some modifications that had been made to the site. If a significant feature is missing, please let me know.

I should have mentioned that Steve and I are now the only moderators. Please contact me if you have any concerns with this.

I have just installed the youtube feature so that all of the embedded youtube videos are now viewable.

Ah good stuff. I've missed the Kdac site. Well done Rab. There is such a wealth of information here it was a tragedy to lose it all so great it is all back again.

Thanks Nathan!

By the way folks, I fixed the email configuration and some missing smilies today. Hopefully there won't be many more things to fix!

There does not appear to be any activity on this forum.  Has an email gone out to existing members to say the forum is again alive?

Is there a thread about the killerdac?

I didn't post in the old forum, but will start contributing here.

I am not a forum person, and dislike the way ignorant people (who think they are experts) bully others.

I often think of the biblical quote about pearls wasted on swine.

I am personally into high efficiency wideband drivers and field coils, but am currently running multiway traditional 87db speakers.

I don't have a vinyl setup, but run a NOS 1541 based cd player.

Looking forward to sharing intelligent discussions with you all.

David

Well I am doing a number of things that you don't like: my speakers are full of silver wire; and both my pre and power are solid state.

If you will go spamming folk, you will end up with riff raff like me turning up from time to time.
This is one of those times.
