Hi guys
Just got some 1.5uf Obligatto premium caps for the Goodman's crossover today. Any idea if they are directional?
Cheers, Andy

I follow the writing on the cap
-
Same as above 8)

I can see a positive + after the name written on the cap but I was unsure if it was indicative as the + was not close to the end of the cap
-
A + sign ?
I can't remember that on mine, but I bought mine three years ago or more.
The way I install them is with the signal direction the same as the direction you follow when reading the print on the cap.
I guess that follows the same if there is a + after the name :)
You are talking about these ones?

Yep that's them
So neg would be at the end where writing finishes?
-
Other way....Lettering start end is signal input.
That's how I used them in my ML-1 crossovers, tweeter side.
Nice caps for the $$$
I used the Copper case Obbligato's for the others.

Thanks Data can't wait to hear them ;D
Hopefully get some VSFs off Mike next year.
Cheers

Caps installed over the weekend and my soldering in still bloody awful :-[
Early days (about 16hrs on them) but they are sounding just as Steven described, rich, smooth, and transparent (just like me - NOT) ;D
So far only positives ;D They tamed the slightly aggressive top end on some recordings, which is very welcome
System is now smoother and more organic without losing any weight and magic. I can now listen louder without things getting a little harsh and my ears don't shut down as quick. 8) Happy days

Excellent! :)

Thanks for the advice guys. ;D
Original caps were Hunts metallised, which I hadn't come across before.
Now to try out some Neotech copper wiring and replace the Lpad with some good resistors.
