I would think i get about one and a half watts, maybe as much as two. I could get more by increasing the voltage but i seem the have enough. With 2A3 monoplates i get about 3 watts.
That will be interesting, particularly the change in sound quality.

I agree i cant imagine a better sounding amp than my own UX250 globe beast, its hard to comprehend how an amp could get any better, why because it just sounds real. but there is always better somewhere.......... maybe.

Some other random info - back in 1988/89 CD12 sold for 3000 (more than 10,000 in today's money), only 500 were produced worldwide, I was told by the guy who used to run the Marantz service centre that various celebrities and a member of the Royal family were owners.

Great story. Mine was also a one owner. Now doubt he would not have sold either, while alive anyway, This wife took it to the local HIFI shop and sold it probably cheap. It had 10 years of dust and obviously had not been moved or used for years, i suspect because the belts had gone on the transport, so i received a phone call, are you interested, i know you like this old vintage stuff, price, make an offer, OK, so i made a very generous offer, the rest is history.
