Wish you'd stop posting these dangling carrots :)

I'm trying to hang in there for an Amplitrex AT1000 but at around $3k5 landed (AT1000) it's tough to pass this puppy by!

Not all that matters can be measured, not all that can be measured matters.

My dream tube testers:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180655574565&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#shId
and
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/AVO-VCM-163-Tube-Tester-L-K-VCM163-Valve-IV-/180654751767?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item2a0fdcc017

Good luck to whoever bids on it..

If you do your research, in many ways the 160 is actually a better tester than the MK4. It has better accuracy.
Someone should buy the darn thing - I was very close to doing it myself!

The MK4 looks prettier and has unfortunately become a very sought after item, hence the stoopid prices.

cheers

No mate, not me.  If I need to test some tubes, I just have to drive up the road to Stevens.

It's always good to have an excuse to visit "the man".   8)
