Thanks guy's.
Mario , you have inspired me to play around and see what can be done for low dollars. :)
The cap upgrades to the Supratek have transformed the sound.Just waiting for a Jensen to arrive to compare to the M-lytic and a Nichicon super through to replace the final cheapo cap in the psu.
Finished the basic rebuild to the Adire HE10.1 speakers and they sound rather good.
Blew up the A-gd psu yesterday ,DOH!

Nice work Gordon.     Have you done, or will be trying at some point, a Lampizator upgrade to anything?    Looks like you have the skills......  I'm not game to start on 1,,,,, (yet   8)).
It's all about the music,, not the equipment.

Hi Oz, I love reading Lucas's site and many of the ideas for the transport came from there.
Building a complete valve output stage is a wee bit beyond my skill set at the moment but I plan to build some of his stuff as my ability improves.
I am annoyed at myself at the moment, as after rebuilding the A-gd psu I managed to connect it with reverse polarity and blew the input cap on the clock.
Got plenty of spares so hopefully it's just the cap.
Anyway , now kicking back with a glass of red and some Carmina Burana.
Listening with my ears :)

Glass of red in hand, and listening to Youn Sun Nah (live in Munich recording).  Steven put me onto this fabulous jazz singer,   just intoxicating (the red isnt really needed, but being enjoyed).

I have desires to upgrade that Shanling cdp of mine.  But I'm thinking of doing a trial run on an old Rotel first, that I have lying around.   I think Lampizing is abit beyond me at this point, but I'll get there, eventually.

the clock should work without cap ozcal the cap only cleans power supply in reality you only need to supply voltage to the crystal input voltage pin.

Gordon,

Good to read about your adventures.  Sorry to hear about the misadventure.  At least it sounds like it was not an expensive part.
