Who are the local manufacturers to support
« on: March 10, 2014, 05:44:34 PM »
Moved this cut and paste:

Here's a challenge.  Who are our local (i.e. Oz) hifi manufacturers that we should try and support?  Maybe list products they supply too?

I will start the list off with a few I am familiar with here in WA, please add others, maybe start a new thread?

Martin Seddon - Azura horns
Mick Maloney - Supratek
Rob Mackinlay - Er audio
Pat -WAR Audio

Good Idea V.
I have recently had a good buying experience with friendly no pressure service from a most unexpected supplier. To top it off pricing was
very reasonable against a very unfriendly exchange rate at the time. I was actually invited to inspect the equipment in the suppliers home
and ended up spending a very enjoyable afternoon with my hosts Harry and Anne.
The item purchased was Keith Monks Classic single head record cleaning machine in the most basic finnish.
The supplier was Harry Ralston From SGR Australia. People would be aware of the SGR range of active speakers. These guys also do
Brinkmann turntables, The keith Monks cleaners and some high end Digital gear. If word of mouth is the best advertising and this type of equipment is on your radar, I would not hesitate to give Harry or Stuart a call.

2nd'd , it's great to visit the house of SGR.
It's all about the music,, not the equipment.
