Ampex MTR 102

My friend picked up this fully rebuilt 1/2 inch Ampex MTR 102 last week. Its a great sounding machine, very neutral. It was originally going to be mine, but how many machines do i need.

They are certainly around but not cheap by any stretch. What did he pay for this?
BTW, that's ATR 102
