Finally got a great transport , very analogue sounding

Your average 16 year old would not know how to use it.............no multi mode buttons to press or led readouts and how do you load a disc.

Thanks V , she sounds very good particularly when you consider that most of the parts are old second hand.
Going to cost me about $100 to put in the latestest springs , grommets , nut's and bolts etc which should be very worthwhile.
The Valhalla board is mounted externally ( wood case on the floor) with an inline mains filter , Linn zenner  mod and  0.22uf  cap mod on one motor phase..

Is that bluetak on the head shell for damping?
Is that a grace arm and a Nagoka cartridge?

The mod's you've done sound right.
Have you removed the bottom base plate to avoid the cavity resonance yet? (makes for easier spring tuning but you alrerady know this with you past experiance as a hifi dealer and linn specialist).

I have had hours of fun playing with different supports under the TT.
3 legged stands made of ply and mdf/lead sandwiches worked best.

Where does one acquire the black stuff these days (vinyl)?
