ooo. good stuff Pete. You seem to have a collection of marantz players now. CD50, CD85.  CD94 next? :)

After a bit of negotiating with shipping costs, here's my latest aquisition.  8)

Not sure when to tell the wonderful mrs flemo. Either now that I've paid for it, or just surprise her when it arrives on the doorstep?  :D  I think I'll wait until it arrives!

Well done flemo!

And just so good to look at Tuyen, they must have put it in a time capsule?  There's just something about vintage hi-fi components in 'new' condition.

Modded and with a rare spare laser!  I would like to hear one compared to the Marantz / Philips transports some of us are using.

Will be interesting to see how much this goes for??

Reserve not met ,  :o  ,  I reckon it was a fair price for that combo.....    re-listed.
It's all about the music,, not the equipment.

I received my CD85 a couple of days ago and still haven't told the wonderful mrs flemo what it cost - so I'll have to let this one go!!  :'(

I need somebody like crazituyen to jump on it so we can compare it to the modded CDP transports over here.  8)

the guy wants 1650 pounds for the marantz cd/da12 combo.
I asked for photos of the internals to make sure it wasnt hacked or modified but he is unwilling to open and take photos.
Let see what price it goes for 2nd time round.

haha, I was just about to post that.

someone in melbourne buy it for me!
BELOW FROM THE SELLER:
It has just been brought to my attention by that there is a very slight notch in the ejection gear.
I have since paid to have the unit checked out and fully serviced at a reputable audio repair company as a result.
This item has been fully serviced, lens cleaned, gears lubricated and i have opted to have belts replaced just for you!!!!, service documentation provided. i have been informed the CD ejection slide is not PERFECTLY smooth, but still fully ejects and plays perfectly, sounds great!. But this is very slight, and i have been assured by the service company that this does not affect the working order of the unit as it is so slight and that it is not necessary to having the ejections gear replaced. however this can be done at relatively low cost if you would like, you can do this
THEIR IS NO EJECTIONS GEAR IN THE CDM1 ITS ALL PULLEYS AND BELTS.
