Was just about buy this player but I think it has clock freq of 16.9344MHz. The CDP557ES is definitely 16.9344 - cant find info on 507.

Can anyone verify this?

The 507 esd was also known as the 227 esd . Would have thought it used the standard Philips clock freq.

Yeah, I'll be bidding for it - but will not be paying stoopid money for it.

With all this talk about flemo's cd85 i thought it would be a good temptation for some WA people looking for a cd85

I thought it was quite reasonablely priced in the end.  This time last year a CD94 MKII was fetching about $1200.00 in Europe + huge freight costs to Australia.  This one in NSW was in pristine condition and "almost" too good mod!!   ???

I chucked a bid in for it this morning as well, but it jumped passed my price whilst I was typing it in.

My price was well and truly blown out of the water by the end price.

I would imagine that there are very few around in the condition that this one appeared to be.

Thanks for the lead.

It was only because of its stated condition and the fact that it has been sitting at a low price, that I decided to have a go at it.  I was anticipating that the price would crank up in the last few minutes (as it did).
