Mario, where can I get a NOS one for the Tung Sol? I've got one already but I need a spare.

My Dubilier caps arrived today.   The build process is beginning.   Chokes and Chinese case are en route (i wanted something bigger and a little different from the normal case).

Those chokes look really familiar?

The same ones as ozmillsy's got?

HMM! maybe I should buy them so I can use the Dublier sitting on my desk.

10Henry is what I'd need to run the Dublier without noise isn't it Mario?

Yes the big problem we now face is competing with each other for vintage parts, and will only get worse as knowledge of the killerdac gains momentum!

Have a look at these caps, interesting anyone know about them, what info is on them.  Never seen them before.                                           http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370449588660&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

for those who are up early this morning,   55mins to go on this pair of CG-40's.    I paid approx $220 for my pair (including shipping),  so the price is a bargain .......

Thanks for the list, very helpful cheers.
Does anyone know the actual HT current draw for the standard Killer DAC  -50mA??
DC resistance and current capability has to play a part in getting the best sonics, usually maximum iron minimum capacitance.
We all like different things so lets all agree to disagree and if any common ground is found then worship it.  Mine is the KD hence being present on this forum.

Another NOS UTC on eBay, spec looks ok 10H, 70mA, 1000 V peak, but I'm not sure if it's suitable for the KillerDAC as I've never seen this type before:

What do you think Steven?

Cheers,

PS. V, I don't know about the answer to your question, SG should know better.

From what Steven told me last time: 5-10H (8H is the best), >40 mA, >280 volts, 150 ohm (you can get smaller resistance but it will be big and won't fit in the dac case).

Cheers,
William
