Nice buy Andrew. If you're ever interested to let your Radford go, please do let me know first  ;)

 8) the Radford pairs very nicely with the tannoys.  Things are coming together.

This week I discovered that the Lightspeed has been a serious bottleneck in this particular system.

I am trialling a AudioNote M3 preamp, and fark me, things have opened up in a big way. I dont want to give it back.  Must be a synergy thing, but the LS sounds like a PoS sitting in between KD and Radford (when compared to the M3).
It's all about the music,, not the equipment.

Oz, I've been looking closely to AN M3 as well, I'm in the market for a pre. Are you trialling the AN M3 kit version?

This 1 was built from the kit.  It has the upgraded C-core transformers, and dual mono volume pots.

The thing I like about it (apart from the sound), is that it is a large case, with lots of room - built for modding.

Any chance to bring the AN up to SV's and connect it to his system?

Had a listen to ozmillsy's AN M3 and Radford STA15 last night with stevenvalve. Very warm, grainless and musical, even on electronic music! I can just sit and listen to music all day. Considering the Radford and Tannoy Monitor Gold's crossover are still in stock condition, there's so much to be had. Oz, it's time to order Duelunds and Shinkoh  ;D

Cheers mate,  I don't think I'm hitting home runs just yet,  but things are really starting to come together.   The Tannoys have a really nice character,  that works well with the Radford, and M3 pre has pulled it all together and unlocked something special that was missing with the Lightspeed.

There is more gains to be had though.

I should note, that steven liked the old system very much too,  when it was in the other house.   This small listening room buggered things up for the SGR's, but I am still a believer in their potential.  I can't wait to build a killer 5.1 system around them (in a big room, to be built in a new home, eventually).

For now, I am getting lost in the Tannoy magic.  Another thing I should add, is the versatility of the Tannoys.   They do fast electronic just as well as Jazz.

Anyone heard of these, a reissued Radford STA-25 on ebay, read about its parts choice, looks Australian made, it's a worry.
