I have tried their 45 tubes, and they are very good, the best modern tube i have heard, brilliantly built. I tried the ST shape and globe, and the limited edition globe won easily. So get the globe model 50 when and if its released..

You may have a slight hum problem in your amps, with direct AC to the heaters.

You may have a slight hum problem in your amps, with direct AC to the heaters.

I have been told these 50 tubes are made with DC filament in mind. I cannot prove that. But that will help explain the extra Hum with AC.
