Spot whats wrong with this image apart from it's elevated price?
V

Looks like it would be difficult to get anything bigger than a 5" reel to fit. There does not
appear to be any clearance to fit a 10 1/2" reel?
Damn, you got it in one, well done.  ;)  So is this a spoof, maybe. So now you cannot even believe the evidence of your own eyes  :(
V

Optical illusion - the section behind reels to support old meter bridge is unchanged.

ATR-100 with MR70 electronics (tube). Given the one off nature and all the customization work in marrying the two,
the price is not too far off the mark given PMW want to make -some- money from the job.

Guys you need to look a bit closer at the pictures. The heads are marginal and the lifters and guides are well
worn. This $500 machine could turn out to be a rough $1500 machine by the time you get it sounding good.
The guy that has it does not have a clue. The flux is set to high when it is configured for 456 (medium tape).
If it looks like a dog and smells like a dog it probably is a .....

In good nick a MTR10 is easily worth more than $2K,  IMO.

There is no shortage of spare parts available 2nd hand from the US,  and we have locals here who can help service and calibrate them.

I wouldnt hesitate,  they dont come up very often.

The otari A810 went for much more than I thought. I rather buy a studer A80rc than get this machine.

I find it a little odd that the seller has fixed many of these machines,  but has made it clear that he will not be checking this one in anyway (not even a power up).
