Yup CD94 every time and I own both. Ultimately it's worth more so a better investment all round. The favorite track selector on the 960 can be handy though for weeding out those less desirable tracks. There are many upgrades that can be performed on either of these old machines and its easy to burn though 1K on quality parts and tweaks. Dont forget Zenelectros clock board
as this will take it to places very few players can even hint at and bring a naturalness and organic richness and pace that is very rear indeed.

Zens clock with i2s is going in for sure as well as IEC connector install/fuse bypass etc. Any other mods he deems worthy. Craig has kindly offered to send some Oscan caps for the digital board - Thanks Craig/Mario, let me know the cost.
Any other mods I should do?
At the moment I am leaning toward the CD960 to apply the mods however the cd94 would look a lot better in my rack! The CD99DR would be good to keep in original form considering they are quite rare, perhaps even more hartd to find then cd94.

Before you bypass fuse let me know what rating they are.
I had to source some super high surge rating fuses for medical applications, I think
they may be very good for this.
