I was just thinking,, wouldnt it be nice to see what is under those copper plates.

Always the way when Lifting the skirt.   In the end, you just want to take it all off and start playing.     8)
It's all about the music,, not the equipment.

Ha.   Well,   I'm gunna have to insist on a "money shot" Matt.     :)     Take the copper plates off, it's a real tease with those plates covering everything up.

My pics,    you can find some dac and cd94 pics in this thread,,,,,,

http://killerdac.com/forum/index.php?topic=136.0

And I also did a thread on cd960 mods,,,,,

http://killerdac.com/forum/index.php?topic=6.0

And then there is the Tannoy thread,  more pics in there,,,,,

http://killerdac.com/forum/index.php?topic=738.msg11095#msg11095

There's a couple of other threads with pics, cable threads etc,  but the above shows the main components.

Hmmmm, looks good.  Less congested than a cd94 with it's analog output stage cluttering things up.    The power input looks like a newer design too.

Bloody nice unit.   I can understand wanting to keep it mint.

But if you want the ultimate performance/sound,  I'd seriously considering getting that one hot rodded.

That is exactly what Craig and Mario said. Just seems a shame!

I think the CD-94 will be the one to get hot rodded.

Holy Crap !
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Classic-Marantz-CD94-CD-Player-UNUSE-/281080741624?pt=US_CD_Players_Recorders&hash=item4171b7bef8#ht_818wt_1397

Wow! Why has it not sold ... even to one of us? The price seems reasonable given its condition...

- r.
It's not selectable for 240 volts, like most 94s. Its a 94, not a Mark 2, that means there is only 1 non crown chip, mark 2 has 2 - single crown chips.
